Users should expect improvements to Cortana, Edge browser, UI and more with the update.

Good news for those among us using Windows 10-powered mobile devices! Microsoft has announced the rollout of the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update for devices. If you haven't received the update yet, the company has noted in its blog that availability of the update will vary as per manufacturer, model, country or region, and more. So you should get the update soon. To manually check for the update, head over to Settings > Update & Security > Phone Update > Check for Updates. ChangeWindows.org has listed down changes that one can expect from the update. As per its report, users can expect improvements to Cortana, Edge browser, user interface and more.

The rollout comes just a few days after the company started rolling out the Anniversary update for PCs and Tablets. This is particularly good news, considering that owners of previous generation Windows smartphones had to face delays before they finally started receiving the Windows 10 Mobile update.

It was earlier believed that Microsoft was going to start rolling out the update on August 9. As per reports, the company's official Lumia Twitter account had tweeted the date, which was later removed. However, a week's delay should not be that big of a hassle for Windows users. The update will hopefully be free from bugs like the freezing issue being reported by some PC users who updated their devices.
