iQOO 16 India launch: Chinese smartphone maker iQOO is all set to launch the iQOO 16 in India, CEO Nipun Marya confirmed at the India Mobile Congress 2026. This update comes a few days after leaks that the company was testing the device in India. Sharing an update on X (formerly called Twitter), Marya posted a photo with the device.
The smartphone was officially launched in China last month. Earlier reports claimed the handset could miss an India debut. For context, the iQOO 15 and iQOO 15R are the company’s latest flagship and premium smartphones in the country right now. Coming to the iQOO 16, since the smartphone has already debuted in its home country, we can anticipate the specifications and pricing of the device.

iQOO 16 could have a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO M16 OLED screen with up to 165Hz and up to 10,000nits peak brightness. As for performance, the device could sport a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. It may boot on OriginOS 7 based on the latest Android 17.
As for the cameras, the phone could sport a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP 3x telephoto rear camera and a 32MP selfie shooter. Speaking of the battery, the iQOO 16 may house an 8,400mAh cell with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging.
Speaking of connectivity, the handset is expected to get Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. Coming to other notable things, the device will likely also offer an IP69 rating.
In India, the smartphone could sit in the sub-Rs 1 lakh starting price range in the country, X tipster Yogesh Brar claimed. For reference, the current flagship iQOO 15 starts at RS 85,999.
