The Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe may be available with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 SoC in India. According to a report by manilashaker.com, the company might be planning to offer its new device with the Snapdragon 823 in select markets like Philippines and India. The new chipset is reportedly an upgraded variant of the Snapdragon 820, with a clock speed of 3GHz. It is yet to be unveiled officially by Qualcomm.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe was unveiled recently alongside the standard ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Ultra. It is already a pretty powerful device on paper, with Snapdragon 820 running alongside 6GB of RAM. Besides, it sports a 5.7-inch Full HD display and offers 64GB of onboard storage. The device is equipped with 23MP and 8MP cameras and is priced at $499 (approx. Rs. 33,600).

The upgrade to the Snapdragon 823 chipset should make the ZenFone 3 Deluxe a very interesting proposition for buyers in India. Samsung’s upcoming flagship device, the Galaxy Note 6 (which may be called the Galaxy Note 7) is also been tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 823 chipset.
