Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max has officially made its India debut and will go on sale starting later this week. This year, the device has got a slew of updates including better performance, camera and modem along with a Rs 30,000 price hike compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. But before you buy the device, you should know that any mishap with the device may cost you up to Rs 1,17,900 repair cost.
Apple’s service and repair estimator lists separate charges for common issues such as battery replacement, screen damage and camera repairs, while more serious problems involving liquid damage or internal components can cost even more.
A battery replacement of Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max is listed at Rs 13,900, making it the least expensive repair among the major services listed. Back glass damage costs Rs 16,900, while replacing the rear camera module is priced at Rs 28,900.
If the front display is damaged, the repair estimate rises to Rs 42,900. Users who damage both the screen and back glass could face a bill of Rs 51,900.

The most expensive category covers what Apple describes as other damage, which can include major internal damage such as motherboard issues or liquid damage. This repair is estimated at Rs 1,17,900.
Apple also offers service through its own stores and authorised service providers. Depending on the issue and location, customers can either take the phone in for inspection or use Apple’s mail-in and pickup-and-delivery options.
If you would take my opinion AppleCare+ makes more sense. It can bring down the accidental damage repairs fees. Apple currently lists a Rs 2,500 fee for damaged screens or back glass, while other accidental damage, including liquid damage, carries an Rs 8,900 service fee. Battery replacement is covered at no additional charge if the battery capacity falls below 80 per cent.
AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss also allows eligible customers to replace a stolen or lost iPhone up to twice a year, with a Rs 15,900 service fee.
