Samsung plans to unveil One UI 9, which is also its largest software update in the year 2026. This update will reportedly run on Android 17 and currently is in testing. Samsung won’t make a major change in the design of Galaxy phones but instead will concentrate on optimising the user experience. According to rumours, users will experience great animation, improved battery performance, and privacy. There will be new features of the Galaxy AI by Samsung which will allow users to enhance their daily activities through better device performance. Galaxy S Series: S26, S25, S24, and S23 series, including FE and Ultra models.

Galaxy A Series: Recent models including the A57, A56, A37, A36, A26 and A17.

With the upcoming One UI 9, Samsung is expected to make things easier in day-to-day activities, especially with the much-anticipated intelligent functions.
Leaks point out that the One UI 9 could bring an ‘Ask AI’ feature for the Samsung internet browser. Using this, the users will be able to summarise the web pages. Not only this but the users may get to see a ‘Tap to Share’ button that can be used to share files from one device to another.

The stable version of One UI 9 is set to launch in July 2026 while the beta version is currently live. While the company has not yet officially announced a launch date for its upcoming One UI 9. It’s expected to debut alongside Samsung’s next generation of foldable smartphones. Following the launch, the update is anticipated to roll out in phases to older devices throughout the remainder of 2026.
