Cupertino-based tech giant Apple announced a range of smart home and PC computing devices last month, including its much-hyped MacBook Pro OLED and HomeView. And now, the company is reportedly gearing up to launch more laptops and tablets in 2027, including successors to the current touchscreen OLED laptops and an OLED iPad Air. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the next generation of the MacBook Pro OLED could sport M7 series chipsets.
According to the Power On newsletter, the second-generation touch-enabled MacBook Pro OLED could sport M7 Pro and M7 Max chipsets. While Gurman has not confirmed, we anticipate the laptops to launch in 14-inch and 16-inch variants, similar to the M5 Max and M5 Pro OLED MacBooks. However, more details about the devices remain under wraps at the time of filing.
Apple’s second-generation touch-screen MacBook Pros are coming next year with M7 Pro and M7 Max chips and new AI hardware capabilities. Apple is also planning an entry-level 14-inch M7 MacBook Pro with the thinner design and slimmer bezels of the new high-end models.

Apple is also reportedly planning to unveil a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M7 chipset, which could offer a thinner-and-lighter design with slimmer bezels around the screen. This device could serve as the successor to the M6 chipset, which offers a non-OLED and non-touch screen. The new M6 trim costs Rs 1,10,000 less (at Rs 2,39,900) than the OLED versions (at Rs 3,49,900).
Gurman noted Apple is preparing a slew of tablets that could arrive in the first half of 2027. The lineup may include a “low-end” tablet. Previous rumours hint the base iPad 12 could feature an A19 chipset, support for Apple Intelligence, an N1 networking chip, Wi-Fi 7 and a C1X modem on the cellular version, MacRumours reported.

Further, the iPad Air could also get updated with an OLED screen. Apart from the entry-level and Air iPad, the iPad Pro could debut with a faster chipset in 2027. The upcoming top-end tablet may get a vapour-cooling chamber for better performance in AI and gaming-based tasks. The seasoned journalist believes the refreshed tablets could debut before June 2027 if Apple decides not to delay these product launches.
