Apple announces price of 10.5-inch iPad Pro, updated 12.9-inch iPad Pro and refreshed MacBooks, iMacs in India

Apple's 10.5-inch iPad Pro will start at Rs. 52,900, while the price of entry-level 12.9-inch iPad Pro remains unchanged at Rs. 65,900

Apple has confirmed the India price of the new and updated lineup of devices in India. This includes all the devices that were unveiled at WWDC such as the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and the updated iMacs and Macbooks, including the new updated version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. 

iPad Pro
The 10.5-inch iPad Pro WiFi-only variants with 64GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options will retail at Rs. 52,900, Rs. 60,900 and Rs. 76,900 respectively. The company is charging a premium of Rs. 11,000 for the WiFi+Cellular variants. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro WiFi+Cellular model with 64GB, 256GB and 512GB storage will be available in India at Rs. 63,900, Rs. 71,900 and Rs. 87,900 respectively.

The pricing for the WiFi-only variants of the updated 12.9-inch iPad Pro remains same before, even though the company has doubled the storage. The WiFi-only variant of the 64GB 12.9-inch iPad Pro is priced at Rs. 65,900, while the 256GB and 512GB storage models are priced at Rs. 73,900 and Rs. 89,900 respectively. The updated 12.9-inch iPad Pro WiFi+Cellular model with 64GB, 256GB and 512GB storage will be available in India at Rs. 76,900, Rs. 84,900 and Rs. 1,00,900 respectively, premium of Rs. 11,000 over the WiFi-only variants.

MacBook Air, MacBook and MacBook Pro 
The pricing for Apple's MacBook Air remains unchanged, but it will now come with a 1.8GHz Intel Core i5 Broadwell chipset. The 13-inch Apple MacBook Air with 128GB and 256GB SSD storage will retail for Rs. 80,900 and Rs. 96,900 respectively.

At WWDC, Apple updated its 12-inch MacBook with Intel's newest Kaby Lake processors and faster SSDs, but retained the same starting price in the US at $1299. However, the updated 12-inch MacBook is receiving a minor price cut in India. Apple's notebook with only one USB-C port is now priced at Rs. 1,09,900 for the 256GB variant and Rs. 1,34,900 for the 512GB model.

Apple also brought Intel's seventh generation Core series processors to its 2016 MacBook Pro series and decided to cut the price of the entry-level variant by $200. That price cut is now reflecting in the India. The 13-inch MacBook Pro without TouchBar, now starts at Rs. 1,09,900 for the 128GB SSD variant. The 256GB SSD model will be available for Rs. 1,26,900. The 13-inch MacBook Pro with TouchBar will retail for Rs. 1,54,900 and Rs. 1,71,900 respectively for the 256GB and 512GB SSD storage variants.

Apple updated the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar with not only the latest Kaby Lake chipset but also faster graphics chipset. The updated 15-inch MacBook Pro with TouchBar starts at Rs. 2,05,900 for the 256GB storage variant, while the 512GB SSD storage model cost you Rs. 2,39,900.

iMac prices
One of the highlights at WWDC this year was the updated iMac lineup, which now boast of Intel's Kaby Lake processors and USB-C ports with support for Thunderbolt 3. The 21.5-inch non-Retina iMac now starts at Rs. 90,900, while the updated 21.5-inch iMac with Retina display will start at Rs. 1,07,900. The 27-inch Retina iMac with 5K display will continue to retail for Rs. 1,48,900, Rs. 1,65,900 and Rs. 1,89,900 depending upon storage and processor models.
