Dhamaal 4 once again puts a treasure hunt at the centre of its story. This time, the characters are searching for the hidden treasure of Shaitaan Singh. The hunt begins when a dying man shares information about the location of the treasure. Guddu, Lallan, Adi and Manav start their journey to find it. They want to reach the treasure before anyone else does. Soon, their families get involved in the hunt. A pirate named Adhoora also enters the race and wants the treasure for himself. Their search eventually takes them to a mysterious island.

Indra Kumar has directed Dhamaal 4, while Paritosh Painter, Vedd Prakash and Bunty Rathore have written the screenplay. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Indra Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anand Pandit, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Ashok Thakeria. Mayur Pithwa and Mahipal Karan Rathore have served as line producers.
