Instagram is stepping up its game for creators with the announcement of a new app called ‘Edits’. Adam Mosseri, Instagram’s head, unveiled the app as a video editing tool tailored for those who love creating videos on their phones.

According to Mosseri, Edits is more than just a video editing app. It’s a full suite of tools designed to make creating and sharing videos easy and seamless. The app includes features like a dedicated inspiration tab, a space for early ideas, and all the essential editing tools you’d expect. It also offers a higher-quality camera, which Mosseri himself used to film his announcement video.

One standout feature is the ability to collaborate by sharing drafts with friends and fellow creators.
