If you want to change your name on the PAN card, then you can do so online from the comfort of your home. To do so follow the steps below:
1. Launch a web browser on your device and head to the official NSDL or UTIITSL portal.
2. Select ‘Changes or Correction’ in existing PAN data.
3. Fill in your PAN and other details and select the checkbox next to Name.
4. Make sure you correctly spell out your name in the form.
5. Now, upload the necessary supporting proof files.
Note: You will be required to upload your photograph and signature.
6. Make the payment of relevant fees online using net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
7. Proceed with e-KYC by verifying your Aadhaar using OTP.
8. Finally, submit the form and take note of the acknowledgement number.

As soon as you have undergone the online procedure of changing the name on your PAN card, you will get an acknowledgement number. The number can help you check the status of your application until the time your new PAN card is issued.
