If you’re thinking about buying a new smartphone, it might be worth holding on for a little while. Over the next few weeks, brands like Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Samsung and Tecno are expected to launch some interesting devices across different price segments. Some are focusing on bigger batteries, others are bringing better cameras, while a few are trying to offer a more premium experience without a flagship price tag. Based on everything revealed so far, these are the upcoming smartphones that look most promising. While we’ll have to wait for the official launches to know how they perform, here’s what each of them is expected to bring.

Nothing Phone 4b

Nothing has been steadily growing its smartphone lineup, and the Phone 4b looks like the company’s next affordable device. The phone is expected to come in three colours and two storage variants, including 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage.

According to the leaks, it may feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor.

As shown in the images released by Nothing, the Phone 4b will feature a dual-camera setup, and according to the tipsters, it might probably be a 50MP primary sensor. The phone is also tipped to pack a 5,400mAh battery.

Overall, the Nothing Phone 4b would be a great option for buyers who are looking for a clean software experience with unique design aesthetics.

Oppo Reno 16

Oppo seems to be focusing a lot on cameras with the Reno 16. The phone is expected to feature a compact 6.32-inch 1.5K flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. Powering the device could be a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The camera is easily one of the biggest highlights of the Reno 16. The phone is confirmed to feature three 50MP sensors at the back: primary, ultrawide and a periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom.Even the front camera is expected to be a 50MP sensor, which should make the phone a solid option for selfies.

This time, Oppo is launching the Bubble Mag E-badge along with the Reno 16. This will magnetically attach to the back of your smartphone and display a live preview from the rear cameras, letting you also use the higher-quality main camera for selfies and video calls. 

The Reno 16 is expected to pack a 6,700mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

OnePlus N6

The OnePlus N6 is launching soon on June 30. The company has already started teasing the N6 on its website with some expected features. According to their website, the OnePlus N6 comes with an 8,000mAh battery that could easily stretch up to 2 days on a single charge, along with 45W fast charging. The phone is also confirmed to feature a 120Hz display, a large 5.3K VC cooling system, and a 50MP dual-rear camera setup paired with an 8MP selfie snapper.

According to the leaks, the phone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chip, although exact details are yet unknown. The phone is also tipped to be priced under Rs 20,000. 

Given the promising specs, the OnePlus N6 could become one of the strongest battery-focused smartphones in its segment.

Samsung Galaxy M47

Samsung’s M-series has always been about offering a reliable smartphone experience, and the Galaxy M47 looks and sounds promising. As per the official listing on Samsung’s website, the Galaxy M47 will come with a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, probably 6.7 inches in size, along with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The official listing also shows that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The camera setup will include a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, there could be a 12MP snapper at the front.

Battery capacity is tipped to remain at a 5,000mAh battery. Although what’s confirmed is the support for 45W fast charging. Also, given Samsung’s reputation for keeping the device future-ready, the Galaxy M47 will come with a promise of 6 years of main OS updates paired with 6 years of security patches.

Tecno Camon Slim

Tecno has been quite active lately on its global social media accounts, hyping up its upcoming Camon slim smartphone. The main highlight of the phone is its 6.39mm slim profile. But, beyond the looks, the leaked specifications are also looking promising. 

The Tecno Camon Slim is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, you may get the Helio G200 Ultimate chipset. It could come with 8GB RAM and offer up to 256GB of storage. The phone is also expected to run HiOS 16.2 based on Android 16 out of the box.

Camera-wise, Tecno could use a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor, along with a secondary sensor, which could be an ultra-wide sensor or a depth sensor. For selfies, a 32MP front camera is expected.

Despite its slim profile, the Camon Slim is expected to pack a 5,600mAh battery with 60W fast charging support. Apart from that, the phone may also come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, military-grade durability, stereo speakers, NFC, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
