Lenovo entered the market with its newest smartphone today. The Lenovo K6 Power is a phone that is expected to last long. It has a 4000 mAh battery, and is Lenovo’s third smartphone this year, under the 10k price point. While our first impressions are on the way, here’s a quick comparison between the Lenovo K6 Power and its competitors.
The Lenovo K6 Power has specifications similar to the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime, but let's hope the phone can last as long as that device. It seems the final choice will come down to the user interfaces, with the better tuned UI winning the battle. On paper, the Lenovo K6 Power seems the same as any other smartphone in its price range. However, a poorly tuned UI could still put it behind others.
The Snapdragon 430 has presumably been chosen to extend battery life, but in our experience, that puts the K6 Power well behind the Snapdragon 650 on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
Sadly, Lenovo, like all its competitors, hasn't been able to think of a new design for its smartphone. On first look, the K6 Power looks exactly like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3s Prime or the Meizu M3 Note. We wish smartphone makers would pay more attention to design, even in the budget segment.
