Yamakaathaghi (யமகாராஜிஹி) Movie (2025)

Yamakaathaghi is a Tamil supernatural thriller film directed by Peppin George Jayaseelan. The story is set in a village near Thanjavur, where the villagers are preparing for a traditional protective ritual called Kaappu Kattu. The plot centers around Leela, a young woman who has suffered from asthma since childhood and often clashes with her father, Selvaraj, over his strict adherence to customs. After a heated argument with her father, Leela is found dead, apparently having hanged herself. However, during the preparations for her funeral, her body mysteriously refuses to move, causing widespread panic and speculation about supernatural forces at play.
