Four years after escaping the clutches of The Grabber, Finney Blake (Mason Thames) is now a troubled teenager grappling with trauma and rage. But evil doesn’t die, it evolves. The Grabber, now a vengeful specter, begins haunting Finney’s younger sister Gwen (Madeleine McGraw) through disturbing visions and eerie calls from the mysterious black phone. Gwen’s dreams lead them to Alpine Lake, a snowbound youth camp with a dark past. As the siblings investigate, they uncover a horrifying connection between the Grabber and their own family history—including revelations about their late mother, Hope (Anna Lore), and her psychic legacy.
With supernatural forces intensifying, Gwen and Finney must confront a killer who has grown more powerful in death—a nightmare that blurs the line between reality and the dream world, echoing the surreal terror of Nightmare on Elm Street.
Directed by Scott Derrickson, the film amplifies the emotional stakes while intensifying the horror with increased gore and psychological depth. Ethan Hawke returns in his most sinister role yet, and the story unfolds with haunting cinematography and a chilling score that lingers long after the final ring.
