In the dead of night at a remote train station, a tribal woman named Jhumpa wakes to a nightmare — her infant daughter has vanished. Unseen by anyone, a baby-snatcher has slipped away into the shadows. At the same time, two brothers — Gautam (Abhishek Banerjee), a pragmatic urbanite, and Raman, his more idealistic sibling — arrive at the station, unknowingly stepping into a storm of suspicion and desperation. When Raman picks up the baby’s fallen cap, Jhumpa accuses him of kidnapping. The police, biased by class and appearances, detain the brothers as “witnesses,” but offer little real help.
