  • “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.”

  • “It’s Their Fate. You Can’t Change That Anymore Than You Can Change Who They Are.”

1. Willem Dafoe would only agree to reprise his role as the Green Goblin on the condition that he still be allowed to perform the majority of his own stunts like he did in Spider-Man (2002).
2. Like in the original Spider-Man movie, Willem Dafoe once again wore prosthetic teeth as Norman Osborn and his real teeth were shown for the Green Goblin persona.
3. Benedict Cumberbatch has admitted to not reading the full script, wanting to surprise himself with the final product.
4. When Doctor Strange smacks Peter's astral form out of his body, you can see that Peter's head has transparent versions of the classic wavy Spider-Sense lines.
5. Sam Raimi was very happy to see Doctor Octopus in this film's first trailer, praising the character's appearance and tentacle animation while also expressing excitement to see the full film.
6. This film marks the first MCU trilogy to be directed by the same director; Jon Watts. All previous film franchises such as Iron Man, Avengers, & Captain America had only two consistent directors throughout their respective trilogies.
7. The Green Goblin mockingly delivers a speech to Peter about the nature of choice, much like he did to the Peter Parker of his own universe in Spider-Man. He also warns Peter "no good deed goes unpunished", which is essentially the message of his "in spite of everything you've done..." lecture to his universe's Spidey.
8. Willem Dafoe went to the premiere wearing a green face mask.
9. Tom Holland helped to save this movie from cancellation by forcing renegotiations between Sony and Disney. Under the terms of the new deal, not only does Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) still take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but Spider-Man can also appear in future MCU movies, as well as Sony's own Spider-Man franchise.
10. Unlike the blue color scheme he had in his first film appearance (which was based around the version of the character from the Ultimate Marvel publication) , Electro's lightning now matches the golden color of his original comic design. His electricity can form a "mask" in front of his face, resembling the star-shaped mask of his classic comic counterpart.
11. Doctor Octopus' arrival is punctuated with the return of his theme from Spider-Man 2 (2004).
12. Jacob Batalon lost a staggering 102 pounds (46 kilos) for his role in this movie, although he's indicated that shedding that weight was also a lifestyle choice.
13. When Peter Parker is suiting up on top of the car, there is a taxi cab behind him. The taxi's numbers read 1228. This is a reference to Stan Lee's birthday: December 28, 1922.
14. This marks Jon Favreau's 7th involvement in the MCU after the Iron Man trilogy (Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010) and Iron Man 3 (2013)), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and the Spider-Man films (Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)).
15. Tom Holland began filming the movie just two days after finishing his movie Uncharted (2022), however, No Way Home was released first.
16. Ned wonders aloud whether there is another "Ned" out there after he encounters characters from a parallel universe. In the comics, Ned Leeds is a Daily Bugle reporter who gets brainwashed into becoming the Hobgoblin.
17. Tom Holland's little brother Harry was supposed to cameo as a drug dealer in this movie, much like he did in Cherry, but shortly before the film was released Tom revealed in an interview that the scene had been cut.
18. Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) takes place directly after the events of Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019). Meaning that it takes place in Summer-Winter of 2024
19. In the scene where Peter (Tom Holland) walks up the stairway of his school, a mural of famous scientists can be seen. Besides real life ones, there are also MCU scientists Howard Stark (John Slattery) and Dr. Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci).
20. Just before Strange chases Peter into the Mirror Dimension, he runs past a newsstand selling copies of People magazine. The current issue features an exclusive interview with Liz Toomes regarding Peter's outing and calling him a liar.
21. MJ is mobbed by the Big Apple's curious public, and Spider-Man swings in to save the day. As the pair hurtle through the skyscrapers, we catch a glimpse of a Hawkeye (2021) Easter egg: a digital billboard for Rogers: The Musical. The first episode of Hawkeye (2021) sees Clint Barton head to Broadway to watch a musical recreation of the events of the first Avengers movie, aptly titled Rogers: The Musical.
22. Doctor Octopus' trenchcoat attire, while still far more grounded than his depictions in the mainstream Marvel Universe, is slightly adjusted from its appearance in Spider-Man 2 (2004) to look closer to the colors the character wears in the pages of Ultimate Spider-Man.
23. With a length of 148 minutes, Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) is currently the longest Spider-Man movie, beating out The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), which ran for 141 minutes.
24. Wong is now Sorcerer Supreme because Strange was snapped and was gone for five years. This is the first time it's been outright explained, though it does cause the ending and mid-credits of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to make a little more sense. He appears to take this job very seriously except when he's off doing karaoke with the cast of Shang-Chi.
25. The way Doc Ock greets Peter is almost exactly the way he greeted Harry, and later Peter and Mary Jane, before interrogating them in Spider-Man 2 (2004).
