Raakaasa Movie (2026)

Raakaasa is a Telugu fantasy‑comedy film that blends folklore, romance, humor, and supernatural danger into a village‑set tale rooted in ancient myth. 
The story follows Veerababu (Veeru), an NRI who returns to his ancestral village after nearly a decade, hoping to rekindle a past love and settle unfinished business. His personal, emotionally driven journey soon takes a dark turn when his actions unknowingly awaken an ancient, malignant force that the villagers have feared and appeased for generations.
The village is bound by an old pact involving a mysterious fort and a demonic entity, which demands strict obedience and, at rare intervals, a terrible price. For centuries, the community has survived by never questioning these rules. Veeru’s arrival disrupts this fragile balance, triggering ominous signs that signal the entity’s return.
As the supernatural threat escalates, romance turns perilous, friendships are tested, and the village’s long‑buried secrets surface. Veeru must confront forces far beyond his understanding, while choosing between personal happiness and the survival of everyone he cares about. The film uses humor and fantasy theatrics to explore themes of greed, fear, superstition, courage, and consequence.
