1. Tusshar Kapoor had originally planned to sign Ajay Devgan for the film. This was back in 2016.
2. At one point, the film was shelved. The reason being debutant director Raghavendra Lawrence opted out of the film after the first look was released with a poster of Akshay Kumar. He felt that being a film director was done without his consent and he felt sidelined.
3. Due to C-19, film post-production mixing, VFX, DIP work got stuck
4. The makers are releasing this movie directly on Disney+Hotstar due to the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, thus skipping the theatrical release.
5. Film was to have a solo release on Eid 2020. After Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt's Inshallah Allah got shelved. But Salman Khan soon announced his next project Radhe for Eid release.
6. Due to objections raised by Hindu clerics for the title 'Laxmi Bomb', it's now retitled as 'Laxmi.
7. This is the second time Kiara Advani is working with Akshay Kumar after the Good News film. This is the first film where she is opposite Akshay. In Good news, she was cast opposite Dilijit.
