Lahore 1947 is an upcoming Hindi period action drama directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan. Set against the backdrop of the Partition of India in 1947, the film stars Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, who makes her return to cinema after a 7-year hiatus. The story follows a Muslim family that migrates from Lucknow to Lahore during the Partition. Upon their arrival, they are assigned a haveli (mansion) that was vacated by a Hindu family fleeing the area. The plot thickens when they discover an elderly Hindu woman still residing in the haveli. This unexpected encounter leads to rising tensions and complex emotional dynamics as the characters navigate their new reality during one of the most tumultuous periods in Indian history.
