Kasethan Kadavulada which means Only money is God is a heist comedy film. The film revolves around a man collaborating with two men to steal money from his stepmother. Three men: Ramu, Babu and Ramu's cousin, decide to steal money from Ramu's stepmother. The movie is the remake of the 1972 Tamil film Kasethan Kadavulada.
The stepmother is Lakshmi, who is a domineering woman who controls all of her husband Sivaswamy's money. She treats him with scorn and disdain. When Ramu, Sivaswamy's son from his first wife, needs some money, the stingy Lakshmi instantly refuses. Then Ramu along with his cousin and a friend hatch a plan to steal the money. One of their friends pretends to be a Godman and they hatch a plot to steal money from Lakhmi’s safe. Meanwhile, a girl called Rama arrives at their home to work as a secretary. Ramu and Rama fall in love and there is a plot twist. Will they be able to succeed in duping Lakshmi of the money? Will Rama and Ramu be able to stay together and get married?
