1. Aishwariya Rai shot few scenes for the film but later she had to opt-out of the film due to her pregnancy as her character required drinking and smoking for some scenes.
2. Kareena Kapoor, after this movie, became addicted to smoking cigarettes again and smokes regularly now, since she started smoking cigarettes in this film due to her character doing it. She used to smoke regularly after she smoked in her film Chameli (2003), but quit after a couple of years. But after she had to smoke in Heroine, she caught on once again and smoking has become habitual for her again.
3. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was originally intended to play the role of Mahi Arora. The first look of the movie was revealed at the 64th Cannes Film Festival with Bachchan but she was later replaced with Kareena Kapoor.
4. Mahesh Bhatt said that there can to any pregnancy clause introduced in the actress contract as no Filmmaker can stop the actress from becoming pregnant.
