Gevi Movie (2025)

Gevi is a Tamil survival drama set in a remote hill village near Kodaikanal. The film follows Mandharai and Malaiyan, a young tribal couple whose lives spiral into crisis when a landslide and the absence of basic medical facilities put their unborn child at risk. As Mandharai goes into labor, the villagers carry her through dangerous terrain in a makeshift cradle, racing against time to find help.
Meanwhile, Malaiyan faces brutal retaliation from authorities for questioning the systemic neglect that has long endangered their community. The film intertwines these two battles, a fight against nature’s fury and a fight against oppressive systems, portraying the resilience, love, and unity of a marginalized community determined to survive.
