Karamveer gets work at a call center and entertains the fancies of those who phone them, primarily guys who are single. Karamveer is taken aback but immediately regains his calm, answering a call in for Ms. Pooja (who works there but is usually on leave). Mauji is impressed with his abilities and hires him right once, paying him Rs. 25,000 as a down payment.
He meets Mahi (Nushrat Bharucha) at the home of one of his customers, when he went to deliver supplies from his father's shop. Soon, they fall in love and are engaged.
Karam decides to quit but is blackmailed by Mauji, his boss. Karam resolves to tell Mahi everything. He figures that if he speaks brutally to his callers, they will accept their circumstances and quit calling him. This strategy backfires as everyone gets more infatuated.
As the movie progresses, a series of confusions and misunderstandings regarding Karam and Pooja lead to him and Mahi splitting up. Karam admits that he has been impersonating Pooja all along. Karam then delivers an emotive speech about the growing loneliness among individuals. Mahi finally accepts to marry Karam.
