1. Towards the post-production, the director 'Ram Gopal Verma' expressed his dislike for Sanjay Dutt, saying he was forced by him to replace the original actress Kangana Ranaut with Anjana Sukhani, and also how Dutt constantly cornered him to change the screenplay of the film.
2. The role played by Rana Daggubati was originally considered for Abhishek Bachchan who declined it.
3. It was rumored Naseeruddin Shah was to essay a key role, and his character would be revealed in the climax of the film. Only his hands, feet, eyes, and deep baritone voice will be seen and heard by the viewers.
4. Amitabh Bachchan had the flu on the first day of shooting and 'Ram Gopal Verma liked how Amitabh sounded and decided to use this tone of voice, which sounded very similar to his Agneepath (1990) voice.

Singh the Regional Officer, CBFC Mumbai, commented the song had to remove because it was defamatory to the Mumbai police force.
10. The song Thodi Si Jo Pi Li Hai is a tribute to Amitabh Bachchan's classic song in Namak Halaal (1982), the only difference was the original song was shot with Amitabh Bachchan and this was shot with Sanjay Dutt after 25 years.
11. Director Ram Gopal Verma' saw actress Nathalia Kaur during an audition for his close 'friend Puri Jagannadh' who was doing a south Indian film, the actress left the director very impressed who offered her the Item song Dan Dan in the movie.
12. Amitabh Bachchan's shooting was done in 15 days.
