Andhadhun is a black comedy crime thriller directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Akash, a blind pianist who unwittingly becomes embroiled in the murder of a retired actor, Pramod Sinha (Anil Dhawan). Akash pretends to be blind to enhance his musical abilities and gain empathy from others. His life takes a dramatic turn when he witnesses the murder of Pramod Sinha by Sinha's wife, Simi (Tabu), and her lover, Inspector Manohar (Manav Vij). Despite being a witness, Akash must continue his charade of blindness to survive. The film is known for its gripping plot, dark humor, and unexpected twists. It received widespread critical acclaim and won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi and Best Actor for Ayushmann Khurrana.

1. Ayushmann Khurrana, who plays the piano player, trained for two months under Akshay Verma, a pianist based in Los Angeles.
2. During an interview when Ayushmann Khurrana was asked why he and his team have not promoted the film much, he said "I think this film's genre is such that you can't talk much about it. It's a suspense thriller and everyone is asking me whether I am a blind man in the film or not. It was our strategy to not promote this film as a regular one. I think this film will run on word of mouth and people will realize what the film is when they watch it."
3. Doctor Swami refers to Tabu as Lady Macbeth in a scene. This is an in-joke as Tabu played the role of Lady Macbeth in the Indian retelling of Macbeth, Maqbool (2003).
4. Khurana was given a special pair of lenses from London which, he said, impaired his vision "almost 80 percent."
5. Director Sriram Raghavan initially did not think of Ayushmann Khurrana while writing the character Akash, all he wanted was an actor who has a sense of music, although he made the character of Simi keeping in mind the name of Tabu.
6. Raghavan originally wanted the film's trailer to only contain sounds (no video, since it was the story of a blind man), but the studio was "shocked" at his suggestion. After several discussions, they agreed on a trailer. Raghavan "didn't want to give away too many things about the film" in the trailer, and the studio eventually accepted his viewpoint.
