Reliance Jio offers 2GB daily data for 5 days to some users: Report

Updated on 02-Jun-2020
HIGHLIGHTS

To check if you have received the free 2GB daily data for 5 days, head over to the My Plans section of the MyJio app.

The offer is available only to some users.

The 2GB of data provided is in addition to the user’s current existing plan.

Jio is offering some of its users an additional 2GB data per day for a period of 5 days. If you would like to check if you have received the same, then you can log into the My Plans section of the MyJio app and check. It must be noted that the 2GB data per day for 5 days is in addition to the user’s current data plan. So if you have a plan that gives you 3GB data per day, with the additional free 2GB data per day, for the period of 5 days you will get 5GB data per day before going back to the normal 3GB data per day. With 2GB data per day for 5 days, users get 10GB data overall for free. The information comes from the OnlyTech forum where people are posting screenshots of receiving the additional data. This is apparently not the first time the service has offered the free data and it did this once in April as well.

Reliance Jio has a bunch of enticing offers for its customers. The service has 4G data vouchers under its Work From Home packs. The plans are priced at Rs 151, Rs 201 and Rs 251 and bring with them data capacity of 30GB, 40GB and 50GB respectively. All of them have a validity of 30 days. Jio also has a Rs 999 plan that gives users 3GB data per day and has a validity of 84 days. The plan also gives users Jio to Jio unlimited voice calling and Jio to Non-Jio FUP for 3000 minutes. You can read more about plans with 3GB data here

However, one thing to note is that Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea register drops in average download speed. Jio average download speeds dropped by 30% since March 2020. You can check out the details here.
