Jio Rs 1299 vs Airtel Rs 1799: Which 84 day Netflix recharge is worth

HIGHLIGHTS

Both Jio and Airtel offer 84-day prepaid plans with Netflix and daily data benefits.

Jio's plan costs less, while Airtel includes more entertainment and extra services.

The better option depends on whether you want a lower price or more bundled benefits.

Indians love entertainment, and that’s a well-known fact. Netflix is one of the most popular streaming platforms, offering a wide range of movies, web series, documentaries, and more. OTT subscriptions do require money and sometimes become quite hefty to pay when added to the money for your mobile recharge and other miscellaneous costs. Nevertheless, if you have a Jio or Airtel network on your phone, then you will get some great news. They both provide prepaid plans that give you a free Netflix subscription along with daily data, call and SMS offers. Let us compare the 84 days’ plan of Jio and Airtel for Netflix.

Jio Rs 1,299 prepaid recharge plan

Jio users can opt for the Rs 1,299 prepaid plan, which offers a validity of 84 days. Not only that but you also get 2GB of high-speed data per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day. The plan also supports unlimited 5G data for eligible subscribers in areas where Jio’s 5G network is available.

Aside from the calling and data benefits, the plan comes bundled with a Netflix mobile subscription which is valid for 84 days. Beyond Netflix, the plan includes access to JioTV and JioAICloud with 50GB cloud storage.

Jio is also offering a three-month JioHotstar Mobile subscription under a special promotional benefit. Eligible users additionally get access to Google’s Gemini Pro benefits for up to 18 months, along with cloud storage perks.

Furthermore, in terms of entertainment, you get a Netflix Basic subscription which is valid throughout the recharge period. Not only that but you also get JioHotstar Super for three months, Zee5 Premium and Xstream Play Premium.

If you’re a creative person, then you can also avail yourself of 12 months of free Adobe Express Premium with this plan. Airtel is also offering The Safe Network and free Hellotunes bundled with the plan itself. Eligible users can also access unlimited 5G data on Airtel’s network.

Which one should you choose?

If you mainly want Netflix and daily data at the lowest price, Jio’s Rs 1,299 plan is the better choice. It gives you almost the same main benefits as Airtel’s Rs 1,799 plan but costs Rs 500 less, making it better value for money.

Airtel’s Rs 1,799 plan is a good option if you regularly use several streaming apps and other premium services. However, the ball still remains in your court as you get to make the final call.
