Indian smartphone manufacturer Wickedleaks, which owns the rights to the cheapest octa-core smartphone in the market has launched another such device. The company has launched the Wickedleak Wammy Note 3 Octacore smartphone, which is priced at Rs. 12,990 and consists of the company’s AquaProtect technolog along with the 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 SoC and Mali 450 GPU.
The device runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with 2 GB of RAM and a 1080p full-HD display. It also has dual-SIM (3G+2G) capabilities and a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash. It also has a 5 MP front facing camera along with 8 GB of internal storage that is expandable to 32 GB using a micro-SD card. It is powered by a 3,800 mAh battery.
A notable feature of the Wammy Note 3 is that it uses the AGC Dragontrail glass protection on the screen. We just reviewed the Xiaomi Redmi 1S, which also uses the same technology and found that it makes the glass practically scratch proof.
The smartphone will be available for customers from September 1 on the company’s website only. While the Rs. 12,990 price tag is for the non-Aquaprotect version of the Wammy Note 3, the water resistant version can be obtained for an additional Rs. 1,500. Aquaprotect allows your phone to be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes.
