Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch its next generation of foldables next month. This year’s lineup is said to mark a notable shift in Samsung’s launch strategy. Traditionally, the company introduces one book-style foldable and one clamshell device, but leaks suggest a big change this time. Samsung is reportedly planning multiple versions of its book-style foldable, including a wider model and an Ultra variant. Interestingly, the wider version is tipped to carry the core Galaxy Z Fold 8 branding, while the standard model could be branded as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. While Samsung has not announced anything about the devices yet, there are plenty of leaks and rumours that give us a fair idea at what to expect.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 vs Galaxy Z Flip 8: Display and camera

As per leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to feature a 7.6-inch inner display anf a 5.4-inch outer screen. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is likely to sport a 6.9-inch main panel and a 4.1-inch cover display.

For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to house a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, there could be a 10MP camera.  Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is also said to sport a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens. For selfies and video calls, the flip-style foldable phone may equip a 10MP front-facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 vs Galaxy Z Flip 8: Processor and battery

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is said to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It could pack a 4,800 mAh or 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to be powered by the Exynos 2500 chip. Furthermore, the flip-style foldable will likely equip a 4,300 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 vs Galaxy Z Flip 8: India price

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to be priced between Rs 1,74,999 and Rs 1,79,999. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is likely to be priced at around Rs 1,09,999. Samsung is rumoured to launch the devices on July 22, 2026.
