Xiaomi’s Redmi is now set to bring its next smartphone in India, the Note 17. The device has been a hot topic for the leaksters ever since the company announced its launch date and key specs. The Redmi Note 15 successor is said to bring a massive battery along with good performance and a changed design. Redmi Note 17 is all said to make its India debut on August 6. In a post on X, the company confirmed key specs including a 8,000 mAh battery and a TrueColour AMOLED display. However, the brand has not confirmed other details as of now.
The device will be available on Redmi e-store and e-commerce platforms. The device is expected to be priced at around Rs 30,000 for the base variant. Again, these details are not confirmed yet and the readers are advised to take this with a pinch of salt.
The Redmi Note 17 may launch with 7.0-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ (2396×1080) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Under the hood, the device may feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Adding on, the device may also support 45W wired fast charging as well as 22.5W reverse wired charging.
In terms of photography, the device may offer 50-megapixel primary rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera, although global variants are rumoured to ship with a 108-megapixel main sensor instead. It may also carry IP65-rated dust and water-resistant build, an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster.
