The Redmi Note 7 Pro is getting a new update that promises to improve the quality of its camera. The new improvements will be available in the Global ROM of MIUI 10 V10.2.8.0.PFHINXM. According to the changelog, the sharpness of images taken in 48MP and 12MP modes have been improved. Other changes include improvements in portrait mode wherei images were underexposed. There have also been improvements in low light details and image brightness. Further, indoor AWB (auto white brightness) has been improved as well.

The update also brings in a few bug fixes, optimisations as well as the March Android Security Patch. Fixes include issues where users could not light up the screen using gestures as well as one where there was a call-time bubble overlapping with notification icons. The screen brightness issues have also been optimised.

The update should roll out to all users soon. Those who wish to manually download the update can do so here.

In related news, Xiaomi has announced that it is working with Qualcommm and Epic Games in order to get the Redmi Note 7 Pro tested and certified for Fortnite. The company noted that since the Snapdragon 675 (which powers the phone) is still a relatively new chipset, Epic Games has not got the opportunity to test and certify it. They also note that the chipset has not yet launched in the US, (the main market for Fortnite) which is why the chipset hasn’t yet been tested. Unlike PUBG Mobile, Fortnite is currently available on select devices.
