After an interesting turn of events, we again get to hear rumours that LG will be undertaking production of the next Google smartphone – the Nexus 5.
Well, the usually dependable evleaks claimed that they themselves could have been wrong. A few days back eve-leaks tweeted the LG D820 is just a CDMA version of the LG G2 flagship series, not the next Nexus device.
However, today in their Tweet, they claim they might have been wrong. As a matter of fact they clearly mention “Happy to say it looks like I was wrong about the LG D820/D821…”.
Could this be the Nexus 5? Since this new Nexus device was noticed in the video, Google has removed the video from YouTube and LG has told the Verge, “We have nothing official to announce at this time.”
It is a rather open ended statement that does not provide a solid conclusion, but we guess that the LG D820 is actually the Nexus 5. However, it is more or less certain that eventually, the Nexus 5 from LG will be unveiled.
