Seagate One Touch

First up, coming to the Seagate One Touch, it is a desktop drive that targets everyday users looking for a clean, hassle-free backup setup. It features single-cable USB-C connectivity that handles both power and data. It is the first bus-powered USB-C desktop hard drive in the industry, according to Seagate.

That means there is no need for an external power adapter. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac and comes bundled with Seagate’s Toolkit auto-backup software and Rescue Data Recovery Services. The drive is available in capacities of 8TB, 20TB, and 24TB. The 8TB variant is currently available on Amazon and Flipkart at a price of Rs 49,999, with wider reseller availability expected from next week. Pricing for the other higher capacities will be announced once they hit the market.

LaCie 8big Pro5

Moving on, at the professional end of the lineup, the brand has introduced the LaCie 8big Pro5. The company says that it has been built for video editors and production teams working with multi-stream 4K/8K footage and AI-assisted post-production pipelines.

It supports Thunderbolt 5 (up to 120 Gbps) and delivers up to 2,800 MB/s in RAID 0 configuration, with configurations available for both speed and redundancy. The unit also offers up to 140W power delivery for connected laptops, useful for on-location workflows. The device is available in storage capacities that range from 32TB to 256TB.

It ships with RAID Manager software and a 5-year limited warranty with Rescue Data Recovery included. The device is expected to arrive in India soon, and so far, Segate is yet to announce the price.
