Microsoft has started testing a new feature called Copilot for Gaming in the beta version of the Xbox mobile app. This assistant is designed to help gamers with tips, game info and more—without interrupting the main gaming experience. Microsoft describes Copilot for Gaming as the “ultimate gaming sidekick.”
“In this early version of the feature for mobile, you’ll be able to access Copilot for Gaming on a second screen, without distracting you from your core gameplay experience,” the tech giant explained in a blogpost. Copilot for Gaming understands what game you’re currently playing and can answer questions, offer tips, or even recommend what to play next.
You can chat with Copilot by typing or using voice commands. For example, you can ask:
Besides gameplay help, Copilot can also tell you about your Xbox account—like when your Game Pass subscription renews or what your last unlocked achievement was.
If you’re unsure what to play, Copilot can suggest games based on your past gameplay or favourite genres. For example:
Right now, Copilot for Gaming (Beta) is only available in select regions, including in India. It is only in English for users aged 18 and older. Microsoft says it will expand to more regions in the future.
