Hacking
A new malware is spreading quickly across the internet, and Windows users need to be extra careful. Called Neptune RAT (Remote Access Trojan), this malware has raised alarms among cybersecurity experts for its ability to take over your computer, steal your personal information, and even destroy your system entirely. What’s even more worrying is how it’s being spread—through popular platforms like YouTube, Telegram, and GitHub that many people use every day without thinking twice.
Neptune RAT isn’t just another virus. It’s one of the most advanced and threatening malware tools seen in recent months. Once it gets into your computer, it works silently in the background—watching your activity, stealing your data, and turning off your antivirus without you even noticing. Here’s what you need to know about it and how you can protect yourself.

Remote Access Trojans (RATs) are a type of malware that let hackers gain complete control over a victim’s device. But according to NDTV Profit, the newly identified Neptune RAT poses an even greater threat. Once it infects a system, it silently monitors user activity, steals sensitive data, and even disables antivirus protection—all while remaining virtually undetectable.
Cybersecurity firm CYFIRMA has found that Neptune RAT is being distributed via YouTube, Telegram, and GitHub. Shockingly, the hacker or group behind the malware—allegedly linked to a group called the “Mason Team”—has shared demo videos showing how the malware works and even made a basic version available for free.
