Apple is reportedly planning a small but smart change in its upcoming M5 iPad Pro that could make a big difference for users. According to Bloomberg, the next version of the iPad Pro could feature two front-facing cameras: one placed on the landscape side and another on the portrait side. This would allow users to take selfies, make video calls and unlock the device using Face ID in both orientations with equal ease. It’s a thoughtful tweak that could improve the everyday experience for a wide range of users.

When Apple launched the M4 iPad Pro in May 2024, it made the device slimmer and moved the front camera from the portrait orientation to the landscape orientation. This shift made it easier for people who often use their iPads in landscape mode to unlock the device with Face ID and enjoy better video calls or selfies. It was a welcome move for those who mostly work or watch content in landscape mode.

However, users who prefer the portrait mode were left slightly disappointed. To fix this, Apple is said to be adding another front camera which is expected to be on the portrait side. “This isn’t particularly revolutionary, but it’s a nice enhancement,” the report mentioned.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg also reports that Apple’s long-rumoured foldable device is expected to launch globally by the end of 2026. The foldable gadget will reportedly be a book-style iPhone, similar in design to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold. Samsung Display is said to be the supplier of the OLED screens for this upcoming iPhone. As for the price, the foldable iPhone could come with a price tag of around $2,000.

It’s important to note that these are still early leaks and reports, so we’ll have to wait for official confirmation to know more about the upcoming product lineup.
