BioShock Infinite sales cross 4 mln mark five months from launch

CEO of Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick confirms that BioShock Infinite sales have surpassed the four million units, during an earnings call.

CEO Strauss Zelnick of Take-Two Interactive has announced that BioShock Infinite has sold more than 4 million units since its launch last March.This has come in-lieu of the first person shooter’s new DLC, including a two-part add-on that takes players to pre-fall Rapture.

The announcement was confirmed during the company’s fiscal 2014 financial call.In May , it was revealed that more than 3.7 million copies were sold, which implies the fact that more than 300,000 copies were sold in just two months.

“BioShock Infinite is North America’s best-selling multiplatform release so far this year, according to NPD,” Zelnick said. “The title has crossed the 4 million units selling mark, and we expect it to become the top-selling release in the BioShock franchise.”
