BGMI Lite is all set to bring a lighter version of the popular battle royale experience to Indian players. Krafton India has also recently confirmed that the pre-registration for the upcoming version will begin on August 25, 2026. Not only that, but the company has also confirmed that the game will be around 1GB for Android, while it’s also expected that the iOS version will be around 2GB large. Moreover, the firm has also confirmed that no account transfer will be needed. Krafton India confirmed that BGMI Lite pre-registration will start on August 25. However, the first phase of the registration in India is limited to Android users. Players can register through Google Play once the official listing becomes available.

If you want to pre-register for BGMI Lite, then you can do so by Google Play. Open the app and search for the official BGMI Lite listing. Once you find it, simply tap on ‘pre-register’ and follow the on-screen steps. The iOS users are advised to exercise patience for now, as they can expect a separate update at a later time. Do note that the end date for the pre-registration has not yet been announced.
At the time of writing, there is no official confirmation whether or not any special registration rewards or bonuses will be provided to the early adopters.
Krafton has been tight-lipped about the exact date for the release of the upcoming BGMI Lite. However, the company has previously confirmed that the battleground fans will be able to enjoy the game by the end of 2026.
According to Krafton, the initial download size of BGMI Lite will be around 1 GB for the Android smartphones. It’s also expected that the iOS version of BGMI Lite will be around 2GB large.
