Rajkumar Rao’s dark humour and thriller movie Toaster is all set to make its OTT debut on Netflix. The movie revolves around the character Bhaskar, who happens to be a freelance copywriter in Mumbai and struggles to make sense out of life until he comes into possession of an old toaster belonging to his grandfather. Toaster gives Bhaskar a vision of the future which makes him aware of some decisions and helps him deal with issues surrounding him. It stars an excellent cast of actors, including Vivek Daschaudary, who is the director of the movie.
The viewers will be able to enjoy the movie from the comfort of their sofa starting April 15, 2026 exclusively on Netflix. However, the viewers will require an active subscription to do so.

The movie revolves around Bhaskar, who is a struggling freelance copywriter in Mumbai. His life is a series of cold meals and rejected pitches. However, his world changes when he inherits a vintage, 1970s chrome toaster from his eccentric grandfather.
Soon enough, Bhaskar finds out that the toaster is no ordinary thing, as each piece of toast popped by the machine always carries some burnt picture symbolising an event from Bhaskar’s future that will happen soon. At first, Bhaskar takes advantage of the toasted visions, using them to avoid traffic jams, get small gains, and eventually close a big deal.

But then the atmosphere changes dramatically and becomes more dramatic in nature, for the toaster burns an image of a tragic incident concerning Bhaskar’s long-forgotten sister. And when the main character starts being obsessed with heat, he learns that striving for perfect moments can burn all the rest of one’s life down.
The movie is directed by Vivek Daschaudary and features the following cast:
