Stranger Things Tales From ’85 to release this month: Check date, cast and other details

Stranger Things fans will be glad to hear that the story of Hawkins is not over yet. A new animated series, titled Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, is set to arrive this month. The upcoming show will expand the world created by the Duffer Brothers. The familiar characters of the Stranger Things universe will appear in animated form.

The idea for the animated series came from the creators while they were brainstorming other concepts within the world of Hawkins. As Ross Duffer explained, ‘When we started talking about was there anything else we wanted to do with Stranger Things, this was one of our first ideas.’

Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 release date

The animated Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 will premiere on April 23, 2026. The show will be available to watch exclusively on Netflix.

The story takes place in the freezing winter of 1985 in Hawkins. ‘The original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorising their town in Stranger Things: Tales From ’85,’ the logline reads.
