Panchayat is one of the most popular Indian web series because of its simple and realistic storytelling. The show finds humour in everyday village life instead of relying on action, crime or unexpected twists. Set in Phulera, the series follows the lives of its residents and features local politics, friendships and relationships. Abhishek Tripathi’s journey has also been a major part of the story. After four successful seasons, fans are eagerly waiting to see what happens next. In a latest update, director Deepak Kumar Mishra has shared details about when fans can expect to see the new chapter.
Fans may not have to wait too long for the next season. Speaking with India Today, director Deepak Kumar Mishra revealed that work on the new season is already in progress. He said, “The editing process is currently underway. The exact release date has not been finalised yet. It could be around October or November.”
The fourth season brought a major change to the political scene in Phulera. The village election became the centre of the story, with Manju Devi and Kranti Devi fighting for the Pradhan’s post. Kranti Devi eventually won the election and replaced Manju Devi as the village head.
Meanwhile, Abhishek continued his job as the village secretary. Along with handling his responsibilities in Phulera, he also prepared for the CAT exam. His efforts eventually paid off when he cleared the examination.

The upcoming season may show what Abhishek decides to do after clearing the CAT exam. He may now have a chance to move away from Phulera and pursue better career opportunities. But leaving the village may not be easy for him.
Over the seasons, Abhishek has formed strong connections with the people of Phulera. His growing relationship with Rinki may also get more attention in the new season. At the same time, Kranti Devi’s new role as Pradhan could lead to new political conflicts.

The familiar faces from the previous seasons are likely to return. The expected cast includes Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Sanvikaa, Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy.
