Twitter updates its Android, iOS apps with 100 new location trends

Twitter has updated its native Android and iOS apps with a number of new features and improvements.

Twitter has rolled out updates to its iOS and Android apps, improving user experience as well as making few minor changes. The update also brings trends for over 100 new locations on both the platforms.

Twitter for iOS v5.6 allows users to invite their friends to join the platform within the app. The update improves the playback of Vine videos. Now replies to retweeted Tweets include both the author and person, who has retweeted the Tweet. Moreover, the update includes bug fixes and other improvements. For the Android platform, Twitter now allows users to have quick access to account switching and settings via the menu button. Like the iOS update, this one also includes bug fixes and other improvements. Download Twitter for Google from the Play store.

The update to Twitter apps come shortly after the company updated its Vine short-video sharing service. Vine now allows users to shoot six-second videos via front-facing camera as well as the rear camera. The update also includes @ mentions.
