Instagram down
Meta-owned Instagram is currently facing a major outage globally, including in India, leaving thousands of users unable to access the platform. This outage has caused frustration among those who rely on the app for communication and entertainment. According to Downdetector, a popular online outage monitoring website, over 2,500 users have reported issues. Of these, 68 percent reported problems with the app, 23 percent reported server connection errors, and 9 percent are facing trouble logging in.
As expected, many frustrated Instagram users took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their complaints and look for updates. Some expressed disappointment over the disruption, while others turned to humour, posting memes about the outage. This highlights just how essential Instagram has become in people’s daily lives, whether for personal connections or content consumption.
Instagram has not yet issued an official statement regarding the outage.
