MGM resorts in Las Vegas will now give people an opportunity to gamble on their smartphones, without having to be inside the casinos. The service has been launched in all MGM properties in Vegas including – MGM Grand, Bellagio, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, Luxor, Monte Carlo, The Mirage and Aria. The new platform will allow gamblers to bet on video poker, slots and bingo straight from their mobiles, tablets and laptops. So long as the platform’s users are in the MGM Wi-Fi network, across the 9 properties, bets can be placed online.

MGM told CNBC that this is "the first digital and interactive tournament to be offered by a regulated casino in the United States."

The platform caller, easyPLAY Mobile Tournaments, is also working to include more casino games in the near future. MGM has even introduced easyPLAY interactive tables across locations, just incase someone does not want to use their personal devices to gamble. The first contest with a prize money of $10,000 is now up for grabs! Time to head to vegas this summer?
