The model uses copper tubing and has a protective coating on the outdoor unit to help resist corrosion.
Hitachi claims cooling operation at high ambient temperatures, with the model designed for hot Indian conditions. It gets an anti-bacterial/dust filter, along with the brand’s Ice Clean function, which helps clean the indoor heat exchanger. The AC also has 4-way air swing and an inverter compressor with Hitachi’s Xpandable+ auto-convertible technology.
For smart features, the main highlight is the SmartView display. This is not a Wi-Fi-enabled AC, so you should not expect app-based remote control.

The Optimist 1.39-ton inverter AC is the most feature-focused model in this selection. It carries a 5-star rating and an ISEER of 6.05, putting the emphasis on energy efficiency. The AC is also tested to deliver its rated cooling at an ambient temperature of 50°C, according to Optimist.
Its biggest differentiator is connectivity. The AC works with the Optimist app and provides energy monitoring, remote controls and scheduling. It also has an in-app refrigerant gas-level indicator, which is designed to give users visibility into the refrigerant level instead of relying solely on service technicians for this information.
The model uses a twin-rotary inverter compressor and offers a turbo mode that can increase cooling output when the room needs to cool quickly. Optimist claims the system can deliver cooling equivalent to up to 1.9 tons in Turbo mode.
For durability, Optimist says its heat exchanger has been tested for 1,000 hours of salt-spray corrosion testing. The model is designed to operate at up to 50°C ambient temperature.
Warranty coverage is one of the more notable aspects. Optimist provides five years of coverage for the outdoor unit and critical indoor components, including parts and labour, and 10 years on the compressor. Its warranty policy states that covered repairs and replacements carry no parts or labour charges, subject to the stated terms and exclusions.

The AC uses a copper condenser with LG’s Ocean Black Protection to help protect against corrosion. It also gets an HD filter with anti-virus protection. The AI Convertible 6-in-1 system allows the cooling capacity to be adjusted according to the room and cooling requirement, while VIRAAT mode can increase the cooling output when faster cooling is needed.
LG specifies a low indoor noise level of 21dB. It also has Smart Diagnosis and automatic cleaning, but this particular model does not appear to offer built-in Wi-Fi control.

The Lloyd GLS18I3KOESR is a 1.5-ton inverter split AC with a 3-star rating and an ISEER of 3.95. It has a rated cooling capacity of 5.05kW and is designed for rooms of up to around 170-180 sq ft.
The AC uses a copper condenser and an anti-corrosion coating. Lloyd claims operation at ambient temperatures of up to 52°C. Its inverter compressor can adjust its output, while the 6-in-1 convertible modes allow users to reduce or increase the cooling capacity depending on the load.
For air quality, the model has a dust filter and anti-bacterial features. It also has 4-way air swing and a clean-filter indication. The indoor noise level is listed at around 36dB.
This is not a connected smart AC in the sense of Wi-Fi or app control. Its “smart” features are largely related to automatic functions, diagnostics, filter alerts and airflow control.

The model uses a 100% copper condenser and Sharp’s Nano Tech Ultra coating for protection against rust and corrosion. It is said to operate at temperatures of up to 55°C.
Sharp also includes a 7-in-1 convertible mode, turbo cooling, 4-way swing and an outdoor-unit self-cleaning function. For air filtration, there is an inbuilt HD dust filter.
The manufacturer lists outdoor noise at a maximum of 53dB. The AC also supports self-diagnosis and auto restart, but there is no indication of built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
