DIGIT ZERO1 AWARDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

  1. Acceptance
    • These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Digit Zero1 Awards (the “awards programme”) organised by [organising entity] (“Digit”).
    • By submitting an entry and paying the applicable Entry Fee, the participant agrees to be bound by these Terms.
  2. Entry Fee and Eligibility
    • Each product entry requires payment of the applicable Entry Fee for the package selected, as specified on the microsite, exclusive of GST at the applicable rate.
    • Eligible products must have been launched and made commercially available in India during the eligibility period specified on the microsite.
    • Each entry shall relate to one product in one category.
    • Products reviewed previously by Digit shall not be automatically considered. Separate consent and payment of the Entry Fee is required for each product entered into the awards programme.
  3. Independent Judging
    • The Entry Fee is charged solely for entry processing and evaluation logistics and, where selected, the Participant Logo Licence.
    • Payment of the Entry Fee does not confer any right to be shortlisted or to win, and does not influence evaluation, testing, scoring, ranking, shortlisting or the selection of winners.
    • The jury shall not be informed of the package selected by any participant.
    • The jury composition and evaluation criteria shall be published on the microsite.
    • Decisions of the jury shall be final and binding, and no correspondence shall be entertained on results.
  4. No Guarantee
    • Payment of the Entry Fee does not guarantee review coverage, nomination status, shortlisting, media exposure or receipt of an award.
    • Editorial reviews and coverage by Digit are independent of the awards programme, and no claim shall lie against Digit for the content of any review or for non-selection of an entry.
  5. Submission Warranty
    • Participants represent that all information submitted is true, accurate and complete, that they possess all necessary rights relating to products, trademarks, content, images and materials submitted, and that use of such materials by Digit under these Terms shall not infringe the rights of any third party.
  6. Participant Logo Licence
    • Participants selecting the Product Entry + Participant Logo Licence package receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to use approved Digit Zero1 participant assets in relation to the entered product and category only, solely during a period of six (6) months from confirmation of the entry and strictly in accordance with the Digit brand guidelines.
    • The licence shall terminate automatically on expiry of that period, on withdrawal or disqualification of the entry, or on breach of these Terms.
    • All goodwill arising from use of Digit branding shall accrue to Digit.
    • Winner badges shall be licensed separately to officially declared winners.
  7. Branding Restrictions
    • Digit branding may only be used in marketing, public relations and promotional material approved by Digit.
    • Any modification, distortion, misrepresentation or misleading use is prohibited.
    • Participants shall not imply endorsement by Digit, Times Group or the jury, or suggest a win, ranking or award where none has been declared.
    • Award logos indicating winner status may be used only by officially declared winners.
    • Participants shall discontinue any non-compliant use within 48 hours of notice from Digit.
  8. Third Party Sharing
    • Creative materials, logo files, videos, brand assets, usage guidelines or any other materials supplied by Digit may not be shared with agencies, distributors, affiliates or other third parties without the prior written consent of Digit.
  9. Intellectual Property
    • All rights in the awards, methodology, branding, trademarks, content and logos remain exclusively with Digit and/or Times Group.
    • Nothing in these Terms transfers any such right to participants, except the limited licence under Clause 6.
  10. Publicity Rights
    • Digit may publish participant names, product names, trademarks, logos, images, category details and award outcomes for publicity, editorial, promotional and archival purposes, and participants grant Digit a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence for such use.
  11. Suspension and Disqualification
    • Digit reserves the right to reject, suspend or disqualify an entry for inaccurate information, misconduct, infringement, violation of these Terms or conduct detrimental to the integrity of the awards.
    • In such cases the Entry Fee shall not be refunded and any licence under Clause 6 shall terminate immediately.
  12. Refund Policy
    • Entry Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where Digit cancels the awards programme or the relevant category.
  13. Limitation of Liability
    • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digit’s aggregate liability shall not exceed the Entry Fee paid by the participant for the relevant entry.
    • Digit shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of business, reputation or opportunity.
  14. Indemnity
    • Participants shall indemnify Digit, Times Group and their affiliates against all claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of submitted materials, misuse of branding or breach of these Terms.
  15. Changes
    • Digit may amend these Terms, timelines, categories, judging criteria or the awards programme, and may merge or withdraw categories or cancel the awards programme, at its discretion.
    • Changes shall be published on the microsite and shall apply uniformly to all entries in the affected category.
  16. Personal Data
    • Personal data submitted with an entry shall be processed in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the privacy notice provided at the time of entry, for administering the awards programme and related communication.
