Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ironheart follows Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne), a brilliant young inventor from MIT who builds her own Iron Man-style suit. After being expelled from MIT due to a side hustle selling assignments, she returns to her hometown of Chicago, grappling with personal grief and financial hardship.
Riri is recruited by Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood (Anthony Ramos), a charismatic figure who combines street-level crime with mystical powers. Their uneasy alliance pits technology against magic, as Riri’s engineering genius clashes with Parker’s enchanted cloak and morally ambiguous methods.
As Riri navigates this new world, she must decide what kind of hero she wants to be—one driven by legacy, survival, or something deeper. The show explores her emotional journey, her admiration for Tony Stark, and her struggle to define herself beyond her inventions.
