Vijay The Master Movie (2021)

Charu, a younger assistant lecturer, enrolls an alcohol addicted J.D to reform juvenile facility inmates after seeing his kindness towards people despite his problems. The process follows through when a ruckus breaks at a college election gone awry that notches J.D’s alcoholism up. J.D pays no attention to the warnings of the violence and crimes in the facility, and doesn’t stop drinking either. Until he becomes responsible for the murders of Sabari and Manikandan when they’d earlier slipped him a note that they needed help to out one Bhavani, who is the cause of the crimes in the juvenile facility.
Charu is distraught by the brother’s deaths and it is revealed that she is a secret NGO activist trying to understand and eliminate the crimes at this facility. J.D finds the note about the brother’s plea for help and kills Bhavani’s goons when they arrive to kill him, while also threatening Bhavani to make him pay for the brother’s murders. He tries constantly to battle his desire for alcohol and takes the reins of the facility’s management, but is opposed by an older man by name of Das who acts as Bhavani’s alibi. J.D learns that Bhavani often had the inmates in this cover for his crimes and that Das facilitated too. 
Bhavani’s story is revealed to be an equally sad one. His life was consumed by violence and crime from his childhood when his father’s antagonists killed him. Little Bhavani is framed for his death and is admitted to a juvenile facility where is repeatedly tortured. He escapes and establishes a criminal persona for himself to avenge his life and loss by killing his and his father’s rivals. 
J.D uncovers the criminal and torture activity in the facility through Undiyal’s help who is instrumental in documenting them on video and statements. Charu is spared from death due to Undiyal’s intervention. Undiyal also helps J.D understand the significance of a ‘Pa’ tattoo that allows communication and entry-exit in the service. J.D interrupts the process, much to Bhavani’s frustration. Bhavani extracts revenge by attacking J.D batchmates and students, leaving J.D grief-stricken. Das abducts the rest of the children for kidnapping and is stopped just in time by Vaanathi, J.D’s old colleague and J.D, who confront Das and convince him off his track. In the final confrontation, Bhavani proposes J.D to take up on joining him in politics but J.D kills him and with Das, he saves the remaining children. 
The facility is shut down and proper arrangements are taken to send the traumatized children for recovery. Das and J.D and others are sent to other prisons to reform inmates there.
