1.Marion Cotillard was cast but dropped out of the film for personal reasons. She was replaced by Diane Kruger.
2.The title is a reference to agent 355 which was the codename of an unidentified female spy who fought for the Patriots during the American Revolution.
3.Bingbing Fan was a suspect in a Chinese tax evasion breakdown. Until April 9, 2019 Bingbing was free to film her scenes.
4.The film was the hottest-selling item in the Cannes market in May 2018. Universal Pictures paid $20 million for U.S. rights, while Huayi Bros. paid $20 million for distribution rights in China. Huayi Bros. walked away amid Bingbing Fan's tax evasion scandal, leaving the project - with a budget said to be $75 million-plus - in jeopardy.
5.Jessica Chastain proposed the idea for a female-led spy film in the same spirit as the Mission: Impossible and James Bond series to her X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019) director Simon Kinberg while in production on that film.
6.The film's cast includes two Oscar winners, Penélope Cruz and Lupita Nyong'o, and one Oscar nominee, Jessica Chastain.
7.Jessica Chastain previously collaborated with Sebastian Stan in The Martian (2015) and with Edgar Ramírez in Zero Dark Thirty (2012) and brought them personally on-board this movie.

10.The film was released by Universal Pictures on January 7, 2022. It was originally scheduled to be released on January 15, 2021, but was delayed to January 14, 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before moving up by a week to January 7.
11.Originally conceptualized as a tv series, a pilot episode was shot with lesser known actress Somerset O'Neal playing the lead role. The series was never picked up. A few details were changed, the biggest of which was the German character. In the series she was French.
