In Mumbai, he meets Musabhai (Narendra Jha) and begins his bootlegging operation with his assistance. Meanwhile, an honest cop, Inspector J. A. Majmudar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), is transferred to Fatehpur and begins a huge crackdown on alcoholic beverage traffickers.
Meanwhile, Raees marries Aasiya (Mahira Khan). Jairaj tries to have Raees killed because of their differences, but Raees survives and murders Jairaj. Raees is successful in getting Majmudar transferred to the control room section. However, the tables are turned when Majmudar begins listening in on Raees' phone chats. Meanwhile, Majmudar is returned to Fatehpur.
Musabhai offers Raees money in exchange for a gold smuggling operation. North India has been rocked by a series of bomb blasts. Police investigations led them to Raees, whose smuggled gold contained RDX. Majmudar takes him to a remote location and shoots him. Raees recalls his mother's teachings, his struggle in the liquor trade, and recollections with Aasiya in a flashback.
